Mission: Second Day Hair

Now that I have came to peace with my curls, I want to find a way to preserve my hair at least for an extra day.

Attempted techniques:
1) High pony--so far the best method, but leave bangs and other parts a little frizzy
2) Satin cap--hair still becomes frizzy and alters curl shape, flattens curls

Another issue with second day hair is working out.  Pulling hair back + sweat usually means I must re-wash. I am going to figure out what works best for me over the next week or two and I'll keep you posted and also post pictures.

"Rake and Shake" is a technique developed by Ouidad that helps defrizz and define curls.

Although I use a modified version of their technique, depending on time, I go back and forth between using a modified "Rake and Shake" and styling my hair another way that is faster.

Before and After Patented "Carve and Slice" Ouidad Haircut

At the beginning of this year I decided to stop straightening my hair and just wear my naturally curly.  The problem was my hair was unnmanagable and frizzy.  After searching for someone specialized to cut curly hair in my area, I found a salon that had someone certified with Ouidad.  After paying $85 for a deep conditioning treatment, cut, and style, I was only somewhat satifisied.  The best thing about the haircut was the advice on styling and the styling gel.  But, the stylist had chopped a whole into the back of my hair and even though that was months ago, I am still suffering from the cut.  In the end, I don't regret the expierence because I know now the best way to style my hair.

From years of straightening, my hair had lost some of it's curls and since these pictures were taken my hair has actually became curlier.  This is a more current picture.

Liquid Eyeliner Made Easy

I love the deep black intensity of liquid eyeliner, but attempting to drag a smooth line across my eyelid is a feat I have yet to accomplish.  So, I have adapted a way for me to create liquid intensity with the ease and the more natural finish of pencil eyeliner.
